The Park Street Lofts were built in 2003 at the corner of Park Street and Ivaloo Street in Somerville MA.
Park Street runs between Beacon Street and Somerville Ave near Porter Square, Union Square and Kirkland Village. The Academy of Arts and Sciences is nearby and it’s not far from Harvard Square.

88 Hancock Street Cambridge MA Condos This handsome Colonial Revival style building was designed by architect John A. Hasty in 1894. Hasty designed many Cambridge buildings of the period including the Newport Road condos and the Washingtonian on Washington and Linnaean. Originally designed as eight units, the building was reconfigured as 16 units in 1914. Today it houses 16 one and two-bedroom condos.
The building sits on Hancock Street near the intersection with Mass Ave, just around the corner from shops, bookstores, cafes, restaurants, stores and pubs. Midway between Harvard and Central Square, this is a convenient location for students at the Business School.
Renovated in the early 1980s, some condos have subsequently been updated.
The common entry and staircase is memorable – the wood wainscoting continues up the stairhall and the mosaic tile floor is unusual and beautiful.

276 Harvard Street, Cambridge MA – The Elmhurst This classic early 1900s brick building is at the corner of Harvard and Inman Streets. Built as The Elmhurst and The Kenwood Apartments, today there are 16 condos in the building which bears two addresses – 276 Harvard Street and 40 Inman Street.
The building was designed by Cambridge architect George H. Tyler in 1904. The interior detail is exceptional. Outside you’ll find a wonderful large yard complete with flowering trees and a grilling and picnic area.
Rumor has it that the building can be seen in Love Story as home to Ali McGraw’s apartment. I’ve yet to revisit the movie since I heard that but it’s on my to-do list.

Richdale Park at 1 Richdale Avenue in Cambridge MA is a 16-unit condo complex in the heart of Porter Square.
Tucked behind Richdale Ave, this secluded enclave has a courtyard and outdoor parking. Architecturally interesting, the four buildings include the former University Storehouse building, a storage business established in the 1890s whose old painted sign remains on the building’s facade.
