147 Sherman St Cambridge MA

147 Sherman Street Cambridge – Lofts In North Cambridge    147 Sherman Street Cambridge is a true loft building.  The former industrial building is located in a residential neighborhood in North Cambridge.

The building is set back from the street with parking in front.  There are currently thirteen lofts in the complex on two floors, though the number has fluctuated as some units are divided.  Some of the lofts have private patio space.

The lofts were sometimes sold as raw space or utilitarian kitchens were added prior to sale. Owners have subsequently customized their units.  Ceiling heights are 13 – 14 feet and ductwork and building framework are exposed.

A very large unit is occupied by a glass maker, another large unit by a landscape architect.  Lofts that sold ranged in size from 1145 sq.ft to 1797 sq.ft.

On one side of 147 Sherman is the commuter rail track. On the other side, a cemetery.

Neighborhood amenities include Danahy Park, the tennis courts on Pemberton Street and the branch library on Rindge.  It’s possible to walk to Porter Square, Davis Square, or Huron Village.

New Listing Alert - Medford Seven-Room Condo - $359,000

New Listing Alert - Medford Seven-Room Condo - $359,000

Brand new listing – so new I don’t have the photos yet – this two-level condo in Medford in the Tufts-Hillside neighborhood is coming on the market tomorrow for $359,000.

84 Adams Street in Medford Mass is a seven-room condo on the upper floors of a two-unit house that sits right at the Somerville line – you’ve got one next-door neighbor in Medford and another in Somerville.

Adams Street is one of the nicest streets in the Hillside neighborhood – lined with trees and attractive turn-of-the-century houses. The Somerville end of the street is West Adams. It’s a super convenient location – easy for commuting and close to Boston Ave and Teele Square and just under a mile to Davis Square.

Condo buyers will appreciate all the space indoors – and out – there’s a big lawn and the common yard is fully enclosed. And yes – the condo is pet friendly.

I’ve just spent a couple of days creating a website for 84 Adams Street Medford – so check it out. It’s got lots more info – and I’ll have photos posted tomorrow. We’re out on our tour of new listings in the morning and I’m going to take some photographs while we’re there. The condo is getting measured for floor plans tomorrow too so those will be up on the website soon.

And if you’re in town this weekend stop by the open house. I’ll be there on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from noon to 1:30 and on Sunday, April 4th (something to do after dinner!) from 1 to 2:30. So if you’re not at the beach – come on by!
